Service
AWS serverless and cloud development
API Gateway, serverless functions, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch - infrastructure built to run reliably, not just work in a demo.
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- DynamoDB
- S3
- CloudWatch
- Docker
Who this is for
- Startups outgrowing a single server and moving to serverless
- Teams with Lambda functions that fail silently because nothing is monitored
- Products that need AWS costs kept predictable as usage grows
- Founders who want logging and alarms in place before the first incident
What you get built
- Serverless APIs on API Gateway and Lambda
- DynamoDB data models designed around how the app actually queries
- S3-backed file handling and processing pipelines
- Scheduled and event-driven jobs for background work
- CloudWatch logs, metrics, and alarms so problems surface early
- Docker-based services where serverless is not the right fit
Typical engagement scope
Architecture review
Look at what you run today, what it costs, and where it breaks. You get a plain-language plan before anything is built.
Build and deploy
Implement the services and deploy them repeatably, so a release is a routine step rather than a risky event.
Monitoring and handoff
Logging, alarms, and runbook notes so your team can see what the system is doing and respond when it misbehaves.

What is AWS serverless?+
A way to run code and store data on AWS without managing servers: services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3 scale automatically and you pay for what you use. It suits APIs, event-driven jobs and spiky workloads.
When do I need a Lambda developer?+
When you want APIs or background jobs that scale without managing servers, or you already have Lambda functions that are slow, costly or hard to debug. A developer helps with design, permissions, monitoring and cost control.
Can you fix or improve an AWS setup I already have?+
Yes - this is a frequent starting point. I'll review what's deployed, find what's failing or costing more than it should, and fix the highest-impact items first. Debugging serverless problems (timeouts, permissions, cold starts, missing logs) is a core part of the work.
Do you only work with serverless?+
No. Serverless is a good default for many APIs and background jobs, but some workloads are better as containers. I'll recommend whichever fits your traffic, team, and budget, and explain the trade-off.
How do you keep AWS costs under control?+
By designing with cost in mind from the start - right-sized resources, sensible data access patterns, and alarms on usage - rather than discovering the bill later. Where relevant I'll flag the parts of your architecture most likely to get expensive as you grow.
